Ive reduced the size of my business massively, and now find myself having to do almost all basic tasks again, where once I had 4 admin staff to help.

Id be keen to hear from anyone who can suggest really useful apps, the goal here being simplicity!

Ive had Sage/QuickBooks/Jobber/Marketing specialists/Consultants and all the rest of it, but having had such a big workforce before I kinda lost touch with the basics. Now I just want things to be EASY.

Id like a really easy app for invoice/receipt, a simple diary, and perhaps a very easy to do list and anything else you might recommend!

I used Word and an A5 week-to-view.

FreeAgent is very good for service businesses - probably not so good for companies that sell things

Office365 for mail/calendar/to do lists/etc

Receipt Bank works brilliantly for invoice collection, email all pdf receipts to it as and when received (set up Outlook rules to autoforward them so they never even hit your inbox each month) from Receipt Bank you then "release" each invoice to your Accounting package and you can even set autorelease rules for regular invoices.

Email rules work brilliantly but set them up at "server" level e..g If you use Gmail as the underlying provider then use Gmail rules, not desktop Outlook that way emails get forwarded, deleted, filed etc automatically without hitting your phone email, and then those that do get through you can respond to or file as appropriate.

"If this then that" and similar websites that also set rules between software to do things for you.

Capsule CRM is nice and simple for task management.

If you use Chrome as your browser then Momentum is good. Puts your to do list in each new browser tab you open very nicely.

Also if you're using dropbox for file storage already then dropbox paper is very useful for storing notes and to do lists. It's a nice place to write too if you need to do much of that. Both of these are available free btw.
