Anyone signed up to this? Had an email this morning asking if we want one.

Whilst I can see the benefit I am also wary of people leaving negative reviews or something which may do more harm than good?

I had the email too so I've requested just to see what they're doing. It seems an obvious move for google to squeeze even more ad revenue, no doubt you'll be able to pay for ads to pop up on customers phones when they're near your beacon. Should also improve google maps accuracy indoors if there’s enough uptake.

Just had an email saying we have been accepted and should get a beacon in the next 2 weeks. Will report back what happens!

Well that was easy, open box, set a little grey box on a shelf, open a URL and enter a code and that's it.

I can only assume it works off RFID or something as there is no power or LEDs or anything its just a small grey box about the size of a lighter.

I installed mine today too.
