Hello All,

I'm after a cheap solution to Resource Planning.

Basically I have a team of consultants who are put onto projects for say 1 day or a number of days, so I want to track this who is where and ultisation of the team. At the moment, I use spreadsheets for it but not the best solution.

It is only a small team of 4 employees and 7 contractors who work for us, but I don't want to pay a lot of money for software if I'm honest (tight Yorkshireman in me).

Thanks

Thanks Andy, wasn't aware Microsoft offered as solution - I suspect it won't be cheap though.

I don't think its all that expensive.

Have a go with the trial of Project 2016 https://products.office.com/en-us/project/project-...
Then shop around on Google for cheaper UK based licences.

Lots of places have deals, I have seen them going for less than £100. I havent looked close at these, but they seem legit.

I looked at a few of the online project tools, most seem to offer similar if not the same functionality as MS with online collaboration as well.

And quite a few were free.
