Help with linking Google My Business and Facebook
Discussion
Hi all,
I have a Google My Business listing for my business, and also a Facebook page. Both are able to take reviews, but with the GMB, it actually has the ability to show the Facebook reviews on the Google SERP, under the banner of "Reviews from the Web". I want to try and set this up.
What I need help with is linking the two together. It isn't as simple as pointing one at the other via a link. It is done "automatically" by Google behind the scenes, and everything I have read indicates that it is done on business name and business address.
The business I have is in domestic cleaning, and is run from home. As such, I do not have an office address listed publicly where I can help it.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can go about linking the two together?
Also, on Facebook, there is the username which is something along the lines of www.facebook.com/<username> which can be different to the actual headline name of the business. I could not put my business name as the <username> as it was taken, so is this causing me some linking issues also??
Not really explained that in a very eloquent fashion but hopefully I have got the general idea of the issue across.
Help gratefully received!

Make sure you link to your Facebook page on your website. There are also bits of code called schema tags that you can use to tell Google (and Twitter, etc) certain bits of information. I believe the one you'd need to use is the "sameAs" tag ( see here).
However, as you say, it looks like Google creates the links based on an algorithm, so if your business name/website and Facebook page have different names and the address is not available on one or both then it's going to be hit and miss as to whether Google's AI decides to create the link.
