Gotta love the media

Today we got a call from a large newspaper telling us they were going to write a negative piece on one of our events. Turns out one person contacted them and made up a lot of lies to get some attention.

Spent 30 mins on the phone going over every issue with each one cleared up, facts and proof provided etc. The reporter even confirmed one of their staff members were there , never experienced anything the complainer said etc.

Then I was told they are going to publish the story anyway , even thought its completely made up

1 hour later their ads dpt call and try and sell us a 4k campaign for Christmas!

Looking forward to reading yet another "Fake News" story tomorrow

I thought journalists usually needed at least two independent sources before they would be happy to publish something which could be considered "contentious"?
