Can anyone possibly help with an estimate please? I'm trying to find out what an accurate cost to manufacture a product might be, with regard to one particular simple labour operation (using a hydraulic press).

If 47,500 items can go through a process x10 at a time, and it takes 30sec to do one of these batches, how many hours of labour should the process take? I'm not too hung up about the labour cost, just the time this should take (I end up with just over 39 1/2 hrs ish).

Well, let's see what results come in before you fully commit hehe (- thanks for doing a quick calc!)

39.58 hours just for the pressing but will there be any extra time for loading/unloading the press and stacking on a pallet and moving etc

Thanks for the confirmation (looks like alfie's safe for a while yet!) - and the point about palletising etc - hadn't explored those yet.
