PCB and electronic designers

Could anyone recommend a service for designing and manufacturing low volume PCB and electronics, for R&D and prototyping. Ideally also with the skills to brainstorm a few ideas and make suggestions and improvements to the idea.

Clearly if the concept takes off volume would then be required but in the early stages we need some assistance with testing a new idea.

do you want someone who can draw out the PCB circuit in software and create gerbers so you can physically order PCBs, or do you want an engineer to talk about your needs and design the circuit?

I used to do this many years ago , take a concept , design a circuit , do a bit of coding if required for any firm ware , then design the pcb , get a BOM together and finally deal with the subcontractor that would produce the product in volume. For the skills required the pay is shocking, but that’s another story. I might be able to point you in the right direction but it depends what the project entails , people often think what they want is simple but is actually extremely complicated in reality
