Do you use a PR agency and a PPC consultant
Discussion
We have been having some great success testing a blended PR/Digital service and it's something I'm thinking we push out as a branch off fixed price product aimed at small business. I'm trying to get an idea of what pricing would work for smaller companies who have just a few staff at most. The feedback I'm getting so far is about £300 - £400 a month would be a decent deal, anyone who is using a combo of both think the rate seems fair when it includes offline press and FB marketing etc.

Depends on what the company is actually getting for their 300-400 GBP PCM. What are you thinking of offering in terms of resources, PR hows PPC spend etc?
They need to fit in to set boundaries to make it the right fit for both parties. On our trial we have included PR creation, distribution, follow up, FB ads etc. It's basically everything they need to get them on the playing field, get some coverage and start building customers. Frimley111R said:
What great success exactly?
Last week we done one which has had 50+ million video views, every major UK news paper, most big US news sites, radio interviews, and a 6 minute TV slot for US broadcast TV. Bearing in mind a video on something like Lad Bible can cost £20k its not been a bad ROI uber said:

No, obviously they've spent a lot of time and effort on this as a far far bigger campaign and are looking to work out how to create a smaller product for new businesses. I don't know why I'd bother with the smaller businesses, leverage the success with much larger ones.
No this one was completely based on what we are looking to package into the small biz product. Not every campaign will have the same success but the aim is to have a good mix of success over the time working together.uber said:

What exactly was the ROI - as in money. What did that coverage generate in terms of sales?
(Looking at something similar myself and the ROI is key)
In this example its a local business which is not shipped outside the region. In terms of retail sales they have increased dramatically and wholesale enquirers have shot right up. Based on data on one segment of the business they done 7 times the T/O from the previous week which also made it the best week ever in terms of sales.(Looking at something similar myself and the ROI is key)

impossible to measure surely? we advertise accross loads of platforms, do events etc and i still havent found a way of directly attributing sales (flats) to these.
Dependent on the business, if its 100% online its a lot easier, if its a mix of online and telephone a little harder, if its walk in then it's a challenge but it can be done.uber said:

The last PPC people we used just set a huge campaign up with all our products as broad search terms. Didn't improve things at all as they didn't understand the business and who we wanted to target. After cancelling them we went down to exact terms and we've looked after things ourselves since.
