Can anyone (NOT YIPPER) give any insight on the following print/special finish/die cut question please.

Is card easily available which is in a range of metallic finishes and is created with digital print in mind?

I have artwork prepared for a simple A4 sized, 250/300gsm job which I'm having digitally printed, die cut and adhesive applied. However I can perhaps increase the budget and have metallics introduced into the design.

I'm concerned that I'm going to be charged litho prices to have some sort of foil block created which will imprint a metallic spot effect, when I'd rather print over an entire metallic faced card, which would then be die cut. The reason for this is, I'd have more control over gradients, tints etc, and areas of no coverage to let the full foil/metallic effect come through.

Can anyone advise on this please? (NOT YIPPER)

About 400-500.

So for that example the gold is reversed out of the white ink coverage?

Yes you print the white then if required 4 col process on top of the white. The unprinted area shows through the metallic material.

Normally on these things we would do you an actual copy to approve before the whole run, small cost but worth it.

Hope this helps.

Yes it does, thanks Broccers. I'll put a quote request in to the email you've provided, but I think that the requirement for approx 300gsm might be a no-go?
