We often end up with quite a large volume of glass bottles/jars that need disposing off. Our preference is to recycle them properly, but our local council only offer mixed-use recycling (which is terrible).

We don't have the volume or space to justify a frequent roll on/off container, but we are above what the council can do. Considering there is some money in recycled glass when colour separated, anyone know of a company who might be able to help?

We are also looking into getting a glass crusher which will mean that the glass is already crushed, but our council has a weight restriction on the bins.

Anyone got advice / a contact etc?

We use these guys, you buy a roll of sacks and they collect weekly, there's no obligation to buy any more or any contract so it works for our relatively low volumes. Might not help if your in the sticks\smaller town though....
