Importing product from China, what should I be looking for?

[flibbage0]

Looking at finding a supplier through alibaba for a certain accessory, I've had a quick browse and there are so many suppliers to choose from, what sort of questions should I be asking and what should I be looking out for?

As you can tell I'm a complete novice so any help would be appreciated
