ANyone used it here? I bought a disco light - £400-, appeared good quality in the picture, it cam and parts of it were broken and it looked like someones GCSE project. Seller will refund me if i return and pay postage back to China. I paid via amex. Ali express are of little help they say I need to send it back. It's heavy and would be £50 odd quid to return.

I've bought several high dollar items like a fuel injector cleaner which worked out well , and an ultrasonic cleaner that did not (and a leather bomber jacket which was horrible) that did not.

If there's a problem, you're kind of stuck with the item. They do have a return policy but as shipping is heavily subsidized in China , it costs a lot less for something to get shipped out vs shipped back. In both the leather (actually plastic) jacket and the ultrasonic cleaner, it would have cost more to ship back than the cost of the item. I think that there's many sellers on Aliexpress that already understand this and are quite happy to sell you junk and telling you to return it if there's a problem.

The reason you buy from Ali express is pure and simple : the price.

At a third the UK retail, I'm prepared for the odd faulty one.
I learned this by buying some UK sourced LED tubes, they were out of stock, took 3 weeks to come and had the Chinese seller's name, the importers name, a delivery note from my (Ex) wholesaler, and in the original packaging.

The question is, can you afford to loose the money if it all goes wrong.
