Hi does anyone outsource their H&S to an external company?

If so any names that I should look at to help a small business with around 20 employees?

Having worked in safety for many years now, I would highly recommend that you steer well clear of the likes of RBS Mentor, Peninsula, Citation etc. They all have a very similar business model and you won't necessarily get the advice and support you need (I used to work for RBS Mentor).

Find a local business that you can build a relationship with who understand your industry and show an interest in learning your business.

I ran my own business for about 8 years PM me if you want any further advice. I work full time employed now as I got fed up of chasing money!

I use these guys: http://www.outsource-safety.co.uk/ we have circa 20 staff

Used them for 10 or so years, TBH bit overkill for our low risk business, but they do a great job and always on hand to give good advice that suits our business . We also get the same consultant , so they get to know our business .

They are good as they give common sense advice and cut through all red tape and H&S "myths" lots of stuff such as PAT testing you dont actually need etc...
