Hello,

Bought a Gorilla Press template 1 year ago whilst starting out selling cars. The need has now expanded and I need an upgrade.

Can anyone recommend some good, or great word press car dealer word press sites?

I would like to have stock on the front page, with decent click to action selections. Also another page with t and c and 'how it works; features....if this helps.

The result of this hopefully will be moving to internet only set up, but that is a ways off until the traffic moves over 90% online only.

Google brought up lots of nice options from literally searching "Wordpress Car Sales Themes".

What do you want? VIN integration? Modern main dealer look? Classic Car photo heavy look? Want it to look like AutoTrader? PayPal integration?

Hi - I have a large stock listing which rotates frequently from myself and other dealers. So .CSV integration is a must and everything should populate from there.

The look, Main Dealer.

Buy it now, also a good idea

Obvioulsly I want he photographs of the cars to be the main focus, with route to buy being very obvious.

Get a theme you like the look of and customise it slightly would be best. Often the thene you find that has ALL functionality is rarely the one you like the look of and remember your customers dont see the back end!! We’ve done a few car trader sites one supercars and one mainstream that worked well and took feeds from third parties to populate stock

Bear in mind that the look of the site is the only thing you have to set you apart from other traders. Till people see your stock & premises in person the website is your USP.

For that reason you might not want your site to look like a main dealer or like every other trader

I'd choose a well-supported theme that gets updated regularly, create a Child theme and modify it as required. Most modern themes offer good support for mobile devices. It'd be worth checking online to see what percentage of car buyers view sites on mobile vs desktops and design accordingly

I've used this one previously: https://themeforest.net/item/automotive-car-dealer...

If you use auto trader/motors.co.uk it's probably worth having click dealer make a site for you as they have all of the integrations in place

Thank you for the replies.

Some back round information, I will use the site, FB and Instagram only. I am in a particular set up, that doesnt use any external search sites such as Autotrader etc - so the site is the primary focus.

I bought the Gorilla Themes one and almost regretted it from day one, I cannot seem to get decent functionality or be able to get it to search properly. We have 183 vehicles (I am a broker) and I cannot get anything other than the first 8 cars to load. Support is no where to be seen.

I am now looking into white labeling my main suppliers site, which will cut a lot of the work load out.

Cardealer5 are cheap.
Clickdealer are more but very good.
Autotrader sites are cheap.
Advertise on Motors or AA and you get a free website with one of them iirc.
