As to why he might do it, there could, of course, be various reasons but it may be an attempt to hide a disqualification.

Giving a different DOB would allow multiple entries as a director on Co House database, making it harder for people to spot which companies he's involved in. Normally, if you use the same details, you end up with an amalgamated record.
