I am just in the process of setting up a new e-commerce site working with an existing supplier.
We will be selling the products throughout the UK with some sales within mainland EU and have agreed on a commission we will receive for each sale.

I initially spoke to Stripe who said they could offer split payment but after proceeding and getting in to the details it appears the customer service rep was wrong which is threw a spanner in the works!

What I need is a payment provider who can accept all credit/debit cards (UK based), we get our commission paid direct to our UK bank and the supplier gets his money however he is based in Eastern Europe and this seems to be the tricky part.

We could just take payment and send that to him however there is a couple of problems, one being we will hit the VAT threshold quickly which we would prefer to avoid for now, with just the commission going in to an account it will be much less so we can avoid that. Secondly he needs the money in his account to come from the customer so that he can input all their details on the sales receipt which is needed for warranty. If we sent the payment then its basically company XX paying for it and they would be on the invoice, not the end user.

Any advice on this is appreciated. Hopefully there is a solution!

PayPal used to offer something called Adaptive Payments, but I haven't looked into split payments for a few years so not too sure if they still do.

Thanks, I will try calling them today.

Our second plan was for him to take full payment and then after each sale or on a weekly/monthly basis we can invoice him and he sends us the commission.

However doing that we would need a credit card provider who can accept UK cards and pay out to him in Europe?

Or him to have a UK based account (no problem with this)

That maybe a better idea.

I just had a quick look at the Transferwise Borderless account which seems ideal as he can then easily transfer the GBP payment to himself in EUR.
Do you know if a Polish citizen can open one of these accounts?
