Online inventory software or integration

We have managed to arrange a drop ship set up with one of our suppliers based out side the UK.
At the moment we have just finished a wordpress website where customers can purchase the stock but we need some form of inventory software.
So far he has been updating me every week with available stock but its not ideal as sooner or later we will end up selling a product which has sold out and each week we have to go through the site and add/remove stock.
What I am looking for is a really simple inventory set up either one where both of us can log in to an account and alter stock in real time or one linked to Wordpress where it automatically updates the site.
My supplier isn't the best with tech so as simple as possible really.
Any recommendation appreciated and we are happy to pay for the software if worth it

what inventory software / facility does your ecommerce have?

anything is possible - we wrote a matching platform / system for one of our clients, that talks to:
- his supplier’s IT system,
- BigCommerce
- his till system
and then updates all systems based on information found...
but... cost can be prohibitive the more you do that is custom...

We have literally just got round to finishing the wordpress site and loaded stock on there so at the moment we have everything available listed on wordpress/woocommerce & our supplier just sends us an excel spreadsheet of stock every 5-7 days.
I dont mind altering the stock on there each day as there is not a huge amount of sales but it would be good to have something like an online service we can both log in to and update each day.
Alternatively I could just pass him the log in details to the WP site and show him how to update stock on the back end but it means I am then a bit out the loop so will have to check the website each time to see if a product is in stock if we get a customer enquiry.

You really want the whole thing to be automated so that your ecommerce site will show items as out of stock and prevent them being ordered if they are out of stock and on the flip side automatically fire orders to their system so the first thing to do is find out what inventory management system your supplier is using.
