Hi.

Any VAT ot Tax specialists on the forum?

Would like some advice on a possible reduced rate building contract. The project is for a numbers change project.

Intro is the project obtained its original consent around 15 years ago. The enabling works were started but never completed. We've since obtained consent for further work and change and are now completing the original work and the new project together. Is a reduced rate therefore applicable given the origjnal work was never completed (when we bought the two properties they were separate titles and had two kitchens, two sets of meters etc)

Can share full details with someone outside of the forum.

Thanks

No expert, but I can link you to the HMRC manual that might, if nothing else, give you the right questions to ask anyone claiming such expertise

Thanks JPJPJP. I've had a look through the manuals and think we have a possible opportunity to use a reduced rate but its complicated and doesn't quite fit in the clear tick box HMRC would like it to! Have found a couple of independent advisors who can give us a steer but would sooner have lined the pockets of a PHer if possible!
