B2B auto-renew/roll contracts
Discussion
PH,
Does anyone have any experience challenging auto-renewing contracts in a b2b setting?
From what I've seen they are deemed wholly unfair in a b2c setting and the rules/thinking seems to be filtering into the b2b setting too?
This is for office phone/internet and even the water cooler people who want a full 3 years' settlement to remove the thing - all have auto-renewed after a first lease of respective years - is it even a requirement to send a notice letter of auto-renew? I haven't seen one from any of them.
My initial thought was to counter offer 3 months of lease fees plus their admin fee - I understand it's throwing their forecasts out but anyone with experience should be building some redundancy in? I don't see why they should have the full contract revenue AND be able to redeploy the thing next week for the same rental (for the water machine in particular)?
Probably a minefield but any hints or tips would be appreciated!

Presuming you're an SME, rollover contracts were banned for telecoms in 2011:

SME is 10 employees or fewer.
