Cloud telecoms (I think?!)
Discussion
Hi. I have a relatively new business which is expanding, and I need to find a good solution for the telecoms side of things.
My office is at home, and I have Vodaphone One Net at the moment so have a 'landline' number that calls in and out to a mobile. I then have 3 other mobile numbers for different staff members who all work from home.
As I expand I don't want to buy a new phone and vodaphone contract each time I take someone on, however they need to be contactable during working hours. They need to be able to phone both in and out.
I don't know much about this, but I'm guessing I'd be better off having a cloud based system where people call into a general number, then press 'option' to be put through to a different 'department,' which is then forwarded to my staffs personal mobiles or computer? Then I guess the dialling out would need to be done over a computer?
Basically I'm looking for any advice about the options, and what works well for people.
Thanks in advance.

I’ve got a BT cloud setup which works like that.
It has improved recently but it used to drop a lot of calls even when the internet connection was fine.
It is really versatile though. You can dial in and out and there is lots of flexibility both ways. I don’t doubt there are better solutions but at £12 odd a month plus vat I can’t really complain.

We use Voipfone for one area of business. Great support and works well. I fee they should upgrade their admin interface to a more modern look and feel
Agreed! They have been great on the phone so far helping me to get everything set up, but as you say, the interface is very clunky and could be much nicer Gassing Station | Business | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
