Hi All,

My Experian online credit check is coming to an end and I wondered if anyone uses any other companies and what the pricing they offer? I have been quoted £550.00/year for the standard package over two years (£1100 in total) 1200 searches over two years. We only really need to check existing customers are doing OK and we can get a handle on offering new customers credit?

Any info appreciated thumbup

I have a login for CreditSafe - has saved my bacon more than once! You can put a watch on your customers & suppliers and it will notify you if anything significant happens (new accounts, credit risk changes, CCJ, new mortgage etc)

I use Creditsafe at the moment (its provided for me), but have used Experian in the past.

Bear in mind that whatever they quote you, ignore it, you can absolutely smash them down on price.

Just play them off against each other hehe

They are all fairly useless in my experience. I have a customer with a 40 mil turnover, creditsafe rate them zero credit limit, zero credit score and cash only supply. Experian rate them 270k credit limit, 100 credit score, with a 2 mil contract limit. Couldn't be more polar
All the others rate them someplace between.
You might as well just stick your finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing and then go by gut feel.

We pay £200 for creditsafe, we use it to help on the seriousness of customer enquiries.
