Does anyone know if it’s possible to import Xmas crackers into the UK from China? I’m assuming it is as I’m guessing that’s where all the supermarkets buy theirs from however I wondered if there were special import rules due to the popper inside the crackers? Last thing I want is a container of crackers being seized by HMRC. I’ve spoken to my shipping agent but he didn’t really know as he’s never done it before?? Can anyone on here help?

Sorry, no idea but aren't you too late anyway? Or perhaps you are super early for Christmas 2020?

Are there any freight forwarders on here perhaps that have experience in this?

The HMRC website lists crackers specifically in the 'Xmas Novelties' TARIC page (code = 950510) so I can't see that they would turn them away for being high explosives.

Speak to IG Design or RSW International in the UK. I wouldn't faff around importing direct, they've already done the donkey work, ask for a FOB price if you're serious on qty.

Aldi don't even bother importing their own wrapping paper or greetings cards, they get IG to do it for them.
B&M and Poundland also use them
