I'm looking for recommendations for a business who doesn't really have an online presence or relevant email address (it has 'their name' at hotmail.co.uk)

The web address they need is available and i would want them to associate their email addresses with the new domain too

Which provider is best for this? I would also be looking for them to have a new website set up at the new url which will allow them to get onto google a bit more easily - the market they operate in isn't overly competitive

Thanks

From the sound of it you want a simple domain and hosting package - www.businessname.com and email@businessname.com etc.
pretty much will be offered by any hosting company from 123-reg to GoDaddy etc. - you will find that there are mixed views on customer service for most of them...

if you are getting a web company to do the website, then usually they will either have hosting etc. or can recommend...

As above, register the domain with a well known domain company (eg GoDaddy) and get a local company to do the website and use the hosting they recommend. Should be £10 a month ish for hosting, £20 a year ish for domain name.

Email wise I'd suggest G Suite or Office 365. A few pounds per month per user, or a bit more if you want Office Apps bundled in. You can link your own domain to both for emails @yourdomain.com

Just be aware that web designers aren't typically too bothered about the email side of things, so if email is important then be sure to look into G-suite and Office 365 as previously suggested. It pays to get these things right from the start to avoid complicated migrations at a later stage.

An easy route - especially if you don't want a wordpress site - is to have a look at squarespace.

Thanks all - made the first step and purchased the web address - will move on and add the email and website at a later date
