Workplace pension - re enrolment?
Discussion
I'm coming up to my 3 rd anniversary providing this as required. Now I have to go through re enrolment but I can't find the info I need.
As far as I can see it is talking about re enroling staff who have left the scheme - I have none of these, the only ones who have left have left my employment.
All the rest are still here - so presumably don't need re enroling?
Anyone done it?

It's only for staff who intentionally opted out of the scheme three years ago. You have to re-enrol them and give them the opportunity to opt out again and the cycle repeats in 3 years time.
If your current staff are all enrolled and they haven't reduced their contributions then you have to complete your re-declaration of compliance and submit that.

ok thanks. So presumably as directors who did opt out my wife and I are the only re-enrollers. So we have to opt out again then?If your current staff are all enrolled and they haven't reduced their contributions then you have to complete your re-declaration of compliance and submit that.

As I understand it, you get mandatory auto enrolled again and then you have to opt out within the first month and you'll be treated like you never joined the scheme. As an employee, I've had to opt out twice now in the past four years which is a bit of a ballache as the pension contribution comes out of the first month's salary then gets credited back when the opt out is effective the next month.https://www.thepensionsregulator.gov.uk/en/employe...

I don't bother purring everyone involved, including myself (Director), to the aggravation of putting me in for me to immediately opt out. It may be the law, but the law in this instance is an ass.Gassing Station | Business | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
