Slamming my business BT line

Does anybody here have any advice with this utterly unscrupulous act of fraud?
I’m gobsmacked that in this age of passwords etc that a phone company can just apply for your phone line and take it with little notice. Trying to get it back is becoming a challenge.

It happened to my taxi business lost the number 444444 for a week and no one knows how or why 6 months later cost us a lot of money and reputation

EE lost and disconnected my mobile number and account of 20 years with them for no reason.

I took them to court for over £2k in damages and won.

PLUS - I got my number back.
