WPL - re-enrolment

I'm ploughing through this and keep hitting the same problem. It won't allow me to put the reenrolment date in the future but before my deadline.
The only people I need to renrol are myself and my wife who, as directors, opted out last time and will need to do so again. I imagined I would choose a date a week or so in advance, reenrole us both before then and then opt out once the paperwork arrived.
As I can't choose a date in the future it seems I will have to re enrol and then choose the date I am doing the forms on as the date for the forms.
Or am I missing something, it's as clear as mud!
