Autotrader API access for flexible searches
Discussion
This topic was touched on this forum back in 2015 but did not quite answer what I have in mind so any suggestions / tips would be much appreciated
Has anyone been able to get access to Autotrader's API to be able to run flexible car searches using all site-available criteria in bulk and getting the output, say in CSV format (or any other formats) ?
For example, If I needed to run a daily search on a range of car models - is there anything within the API or available outside of Autotrader which would allow for this?
Thank you in advance

Not sure regarding AT's API, but this could probably be done inexpensively via a scrape?
I had a need for something similar a few years ago with Amazon products, I found a guy via Upwork who scraped and collated all my desired attributes into CSV, I forget the exact cost but it was something like $20 per 30,000 lines

Have you tried their API?
returns the results in JSON - but that is a structured format, and any one structured format can be converted to any other structured format...

Thanks but do they not need to grant you access to it in order to use it? I don't imagine it's just open access??
The github scraper seems to have been revived?Re formal API access have you spoken to them? There’s a form to fill in on their developer site to get the conversation started.

The scraper listed on Github is Autotrader.com (the US site)
Autotrader API access is chargeable and is on top of one of their trade advertising packages. You're probably looking at over £1K a month to get access and then there are fairly restrictive terms of use
