Just in set up mode on a new business and wondered about opinions on Telecon / Videoconference services. I'd prefer free to start with.

In my previous company they used Teams, seemed ok, but of course we all had paid for microsoft subs, not sure if this will work as well with a broader group of people. Any recommendations on easy to use alternatives. I think the thing I want to make sure of is that I can send an easy link so that anyone with internet access can join the call, preferably with a VC option i.e. I am not dependent on them having a particular programme on their laptop / device....

Let me know any recommendations. Thanks.

Teams or Skype online?

Or something online like Zoom or Bluejeans? I think Zoom has a free option.

For voice only
whypay.net is entirely free and calls come out of your bundled minutes on mobiles.
And just noticed that for next 3 months due to Corona all their plans are free.

Teams meetings fully work (inc audio/video) in a browser on Chrome and Edge. If you're outside that you still get screensharing, etc but can dial in (assuming you're paying for the dial-in capability) for the audio.

If you also need email, if you need somewhere to store files, if you're Microsoft Office-centric (and need Outlook, Word, Excel, etc on PCs) then Office 365 can be pretty good value over alternatives.

Cisco WebEx, probably one of the most robust solutions on the market. There is also a free offer now due to Coronavirus
