Thinking of using this planning tool to develop our ops headcount planning and wandered how easy are the basics to pick up? Is it pretty easy for an advanced excel user to pick up the basics?

Any other comparable products that I should also consider?
Thanks

I found it pretty easy to get a working knowledge of TM1 when I used it over 10 years ago.

The answer depends on your situation though. Is the headcount data in TM1 already and you're planning to begin using it alongside colleagues who already use it, or is data in Excel and you're looking to move it into TM1 or something else?

I'm probably replying too late, but if the data is in Excel, and you're an advanced user of excel, and the output is for your use/control, then use Excel if it will provide the output that you seek.

TM1 or any other application adds a learning curve (and possibilities for errors) and licensing issues etc.

Depending on what you're trying to achieve, there are some good HRIS applications that might help.

edit, just re-read your prior post. If its in SAP, use that!
