Weather proof delivery bags
Discussion
I'm doing some volunteering for a local deli that has had to suddenly adopt an online/ home delivery presence. Weather has been kind so far but we'll need a rain proof delivery bag as the current paper ones will simply tear when wet.
Does anyone know of a non plastic alternative or as a last resort a recyclable plastic bag supplier?
This is a local high end deli with an excellent reputation that needs to get the detail right and will be scrutinised very closely in the area.
Thanks.

You can get greaseproof paper bags which will repel a bit more water than plain paper.

If you want something more 'high end' then you can get compostable/biodegradable take away boxes/packaging.

Final suggestion is putting the food into cardboard takeaway boxes - like bigger noodle boxes?

Otherwise how about a waterproof canvas holdall to carry the orders around (or the cool/warm boxes you see from UberEats, et al), and just remove the individual paper bags from that as you hand the individual items over (via a 6ft pole of course).

Thanks for the suggestions.
Rain proof would be fine, the goods just need to be carried from the bike to the customer's front door. At the moment we are using white paper bags with a twisted handle that all of these types of shops use.
The products are predominantly charcuterie, wine, posh biscuits, jars of chutney and all sorts of fancy fayre in tins/ bottles etc. It's not ready to eat meals although there are some pastries.
I'm looking into getting a weather proof rucksack (like deliveroo riders use) and possibly a covered bike trailer to keep the goods dry en route.
