Does anyone hire out mini diggers ? We have a few that spend a lot of time sat about, wondering how viable it is to hire them out ?

I used to hire in diggers before buying one. I treat my own one a hell of a lot better than the hired ones!

Something to think about if you need yours back and working. Although I never broke anything on theirs, I guess some people will be a lot more unforgiving than I was.

That was my concern, they’d get trashed! Maybe better hired with an operator

I used to run Dinky-Diggers (I have a small one, give me a call) which was a one ton digger and me. £200/day or £110/ half day.

If you are planning to hire to diyers you need to remember they will likely want it for a weekend and if anything goes wrong they will want it fixed.

That includes when they turn it over.

I think hiring to the trade would be easier but still has it’s problems.

Wouldn't bother unless it's to a firm, people you know well
Lots of machines available for hire, self drive is a killer for machines, specially DIY,lots are hired by seemingly legit business, then disappear, even bigger machines so mini diggers easy target, more hassle than it's worth
