Perfect, thank you. Does she own one?

Just wondering how you’re getting on currently?

My wife was, just been made redundant with approx 25% of the staff at their day nursery!
Difficult times ahead as theirs was a large university creche.

My wife is one of a two person management team running quite a large nursery on behalf of the family whom own it. The family have little involvement.

It is tough atm, as with schools there isn't the space to get all children back due to Government restrictions, so they are turning people away currently.

They have a lot of 4 yr olds leaving in the summer for school, and not as many babies starting, so they have a marketing job to do to get Some babies in!

Its sad for her colleagues as there were 30 odd staff and around 90 kids, it's going to be a much smaller organisation going forward and space requirements mean it's a nightmare for them. On the wife's behalf she's actually happy as Larry as she was due to retire any way at Christmas! :-)

The day care and after school club attached to our local school has permanently closed its doors.
Apparently they were on the edge of closure due to health reasons, but COVID restrictions has tipped the balance.

It’s a bit grim to be honest. Just wanted to find out how everyone was doing in the sector.

My mum had a 100 place nursery years ago.One day she decided the red tape and staff hassle was enough and shut up shop, that was 20 years ago.God knows how you manage now with those 2 factors.

I missed whatever he posted, what was it?

We live in the same area and he is involved in the same business area as my wife so I can do some digging?
