Awnings and covered walkways is the way to go. It's bearable social distance queueing outside shops in summer. Not so much fun in winter.

I'm so convinced that this is a MEGA money maker that I've invested exactly zero pounds in it.

Ha Ha I do sell live fish foods and its going very well but its a young mans game and just getting a bit old for climbing in and out of the sea collecting shrimps etc so just looking for other income streams that are a little less taxing.

The word passive should be banned when it comes to business or income. There is no such thing.

You can reduce the amount of action of course; in your circumstances one might employ a younger, fitter person better suited/more willing to jump in and out of the sea, and simply live on the profits of their labour!

isn't a drop-shipping web site passive?

indeed a possibility but I tried that once he kept calling mummy saying he was cold and I worked him to hard weeping and WHATTT you want me to jump in their I could drown or get attacked etc rofl

See today most youths don't like hard work but the second problem is I have a very niche business with next to no competition and takes a lot of knowledge in keeping the shrimps alive ,quarantined ready to sell to the aquatic trade. Its very specialist and they are hard to find in big quantities to satisfy the market so If I train someone to do this they will end doing it themselves be it many have tried and failed

Any ecommerce business is definitely not passive. Not unless you're going to hire loads of folk to market, deal with customer enquiries, orders, inventory, supplier relations, accounts, etc, etc. But then that sounds like a pretty good way to earn no profits.

And you have to hire, train, review, manage and fire those people as they churn.

There is no passive business that involves staff.

Make product review or comparison videos on YT and create affiliate links. That's as passive as I can think of.

Google Ryan Wegner Marketing.

According to his Youtube adverts Social Media Marketing is where it's "at".

More precisely, telling people on social media that social media marketing is where it's at is where it's at.

There are a few worthy of a watch but most of these types are the modern equivalent of the old ads you'd get in the back of Private Eye saying "HOW I MADE MY FORTUNE - Send me £5 and I'll tell you how!"

Property? BTL can still work in certain areas of the country and can be passive.

Why not the stock market? There are some solid funds out there that return double digit percentages year on year.

Yes done quiet well out of funds until now a large drop I bailed still on top tho but the stocks has rallied a bit but I will wait until next year until I dip back in I think the recent bull is a bit of a busted flush the st storm will come later when the recession hits with the job and business losses become apparent IMO

I am thinking of a property down Dorset / Devon way as a holiday let or even Btl, cash in the bank might be a problem if Neg interest rates come.

Holiday let’s never fail to surprise me it seems looking on Air bnb you can rent very normal property for a rediculous amount. £500 a week for a terrace on Anglesey for example. Not that passive as someone needs to clean it but the money is there to be made.

It's got to be something that you can create once and sell repeatedly. Then you can spend time and money on marketing. I know people who sell courses and ebooks who are making a decent income (6 figures), one of whom I know very well. She's taking the whole of August off. She does have a team of 3 part-timers.
