I'm a fan of 360 feedback, however painful. Most of my company are WFH and will be for the foreseeable, face to face is limited, so I'm keen to hear if anyone has used an online 360 survey tool or provider? I'd imagine something that manages the distribution and collation and perhaps even some analysis and trends? We use Google Suite for most of our stuff, so something that integrates well with that would be the moon on a stick, but not essential of course.

Cant help on the app so feel free to move on, but I always hated 360 feedback.

In my view it can be summarised as follows:
Subordinates (for want of a better term) dont criticise for fear of their own feedback being affected,

Superiors don't praise so they can protect their own positions (and egos)

Peers will do what they can to prevent any promotions going to the reviewee instead of themselves.

360 is popular with HR as it means they dont have to do anything or know the staff.

Yomv of course

How did you record the outputs from the feedback sessions before lockdown? Surely just use the same method but via a Zoom conf or telephone call or Skype or similar ?

He doesn't want to do that coz hes too lazy, he want them to fill in a form, then he can give it a cursory glance then rubber stamp it.

Hey guys, not fair. Sure, some organisations pay lip service to the whole appraisal thing, but mine doesn't. Until recently I did it all face to face, but we have doubled in size again in a year and now I'm outnumbered. We have also reorganised into self-contained teams, which are much better at recognising each person's strengths and weaknesses.

Sorry if this sounds like BS bingo. If it does to you, then maybe you can't help, but for those business owners in this predicamant and believe it's worthwhile, it could be helpful. If anyone has used a 360 provider, I'd be keen to hear about it, good or bad.

As one of my friends whom did a PhD in HR Performance Management and then spent 25 years doing very well regularly getting pay offs from councils and Aberdeen oil companies every-time HR had finished laying everyone off, apart from HR, then HR had to sack themselves; her comment on 360 degree feedback was always thus: "If you were Barabas, it was good for you in the short term, Jury is out whether it was good for Jesus. At the time of giving the feedback, most of the masses were happy. Use 360 feedback and move on quickly".

We used something like "MySpS" for a while, which as an employee, you could also invite your collegues to review your performance outwith those that individual management and HR chose. We used to joke it was the employee equivalent of trip advisor, to the point "ohhh, I don't want any one stars on my Team becoming a formal function project personal requirement"!.
