I have been parachuted into an online business that I was previously an investor / NED for, and just getting my head around the operational side of the business.

I have found that Amazon reconciliations leave a lot to be desired and I'm hoping that others maybe able to share their experience.

It could just be the back office system I'm using is not fit for purpose (Brightpearl), but I've discovered 2 holes in the numbers:-

1. Returns - I've discovered £16k of returns last year that weren't accounted for in Brightpearl

2. Fees - I've found in H1 £32k of extra Amazon fees that were never picked up by Brightpearl and not accounted for.

Due to the number of transactions, manual reconciliation is a not feasible, so just wondering if anyone else has had these issues and how they've dealt with them

Thanks

Bright pearl requires such refunds to be done manually

Thanks, that I can probably live with, although not ideal.

Any ideas on why it's not reconciling the total of the Amazon fees, and it's also not reconciling the US tax which is collected on our behalf by Amazon

Thanks

Thanks, BP provided a fix for this last year which worked until early this year but has now just stopped working. It seems to be a BP issue rather than a configuration issue. Their support desk is bloody useless and tardy and I'm getting nowhere.

I am not sure how much of brightpearl you use for things but last year we switch to Xero and found linkmybooks.

Been solid all last year and can configure the US tax, different rates of VAT ect.

Thanks for this link, we use Xero on another business I'm involved in and rate it. I'll have a look at Link My Books
