Taking payments over phone / sending payment link

Hi all,

I have a number of remote customers and would like to be able to take instant payment from them either over the phone or by sending a payment link to them (I am a service-based business with a website, but no ecomm functionality).

Does anyone have a recommended provider?

I've used iZettle terminals in the past for in-person payments and not averse to using them again for this, but 2.5% transaction seems steep (most transactions will be £1-2k, so it adds up). Also, 2.5% might be industry standard - I'm completely new to this - so if anyone can give a guide on it, I'd be really grateful.

Any reason why they can’t just pay by transfer?

Not as instant as taking a card payment over the phone but just as good as a payment link. It’s so easy to do a bank transfer via app now I have most of my retail customers paying that way (motor trade, always paid before collection).
