Vat refund

Any one have an idea how long vat reclaims are taking at the minute ?

We have a fairly large chunk on latest return and as usual radio silence from HMRC

Half expecting a query as it’s a zero rated export and as I said a large chunk of change

Vat account was showing as owing HMRC £1933 before return submitted and now showing zero so am I right in saying they haven’t queried it or is this all automated these days ?

My last one (last quarter) was in my account 2 or 3 days after submitting my VAT return.

According to my accountant, vat refunds are immediate. We regularly get them (last in may) and it was within the week.
