Interested to get some suggestions on a decent hosting service.

I have used TSO host for a number of years now and havent had many complaints with the service - the UI is helpful, support is pretty good but I have noticed issues with site speeds and email.

Email issues have come to a head (ability to send / receive over multiple devices is random, nothing has changed at my end) so I think its time to move on to a different provider.

So interested to know peoples suggestions of a good provider, good UI and customers service are a must, even better if they have a transfer service so I dont have much messing around / downtime.

Cheers

Can they fix it if you tell them about the issues?

I use a different host for each domain, which costs more but it means I don't lose everything if one goes belly up. Gives me the chance to compare. Generally, I find all the hosts to be pretty reliable, as long as you choose a plan suited to your needs. But fasthosts have been pretty good all round. Reliable, and respond to problems quickly.

I was in exactly the same position as the OP, using TSO for years.

Krystal and G-Suite is the right answer and my blood pressure is now considerably lower!

Hi, happy to have a look to see if my hosting would work for you? Drop me a PM if you have any questions. I also offer 50% off for PH members too use code PISTON for 50% off smilehttps://blinkweb.co.uk/web-hosting

If you're serious about email then I would recommend separating your email out on MS365 and have your website hosted separately however if you can't afford the extra outlay, our hosting includes a service called MailChannels which will improve your security and delivery rates compared to TSO Host and many other shared hosting services.

Avoid any host owned by EIG group. Their various companies can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endurance_Internatio...

Other UK hosts I'd recommend are Krystal. Although more on the pricey side, their support from experience is very goodn.

Very happy with Krystal. Multiple sites hosted all with their own emails. No issues and Tech Support is great and quick.

I moved from TSO last month and ended up with Krystal. I was also considering Blink Web listed above.

The move was incredibly smooth - the Krystal guys have a migration service and the help team were very responsive pretty much around the clock.

Stablepoint.

I could be wrong, but it's where the original founders of TSO Host went to after selling up.

Why take the risk they do it again?

Krystal. No question whatsoever. Utterly superb.

Don't even think about the once-great TSO Host, I used them for many years, never again. Apart from anything else their Wordpress performance is woeful IMHO.

Another vote for Krystal, have run numerous sites with them over the past couple of years. Great support and reasonably priced, I've reviewed them if you want to know more https://www.ecommerce-gold.com/krystal-hosting-rev...

And another for Krystal. The amount of times they've helped me alone is worth it. Solid service.

Stablepoint, the people who started TSO/Vidahost. Only other I would consider would be Krystal. I went with Stablepoint due to the familiar names, service has been fine so far.
