I use 20,000kwh (about £3,500) of electricity per year in our unit, using Bionic (aka make it cheaper). I've used them for years as they make it all very painless but I want to make sure they're not getting complacent. I want to check I'm not getting ripped off for my new British Gas fix. I'm based in Liverpool

How does this compare? Bulb are offering 13p/kwh and similar standing charge, and no contract but they got wrapped recently by ofgem for ripping people off.

1yr:
Standing Charge - 40.49p/day
Unit Rate - 17.68p/kwh

2yr:
Standing Charge - 29.73p/day
Unit Rate - 17.79p/kwh

3yr:
Standing Charge - 31.14p/day
Unit Rate - 17.93p/kwh

I think you’re paying too much.

Just put your numbers into Octopus business energy quote (3 years), and it’s come back with:

14.82p / kwh
34.22p standing charge / day
