I don't even know if this is a thing as Google suggests not but is there a way to pay x a month to insure any and all parcels/packages that I send rather than paying say £15 each time using a company like parcel2go?

I'm sending quite a lot of things with a value of £200-£1,000 so me paying a good chunk of that for something that feels me paying the courier to do their job properly that I've already paid for.

Anyone familiar with this sort of service?

It’s called Hoods in Transit cover. Aviva used to offer it as a stand alone policy. They’ll want know your annual value, roughly how many parcels a year. Average value high and low values etc

Thanks. I've had a quick search and most seem to be for couriers themselves rather than the person actually sending it.

I'll look at it properly tomorrow and see if I can find a company.

Almost - goods in transit is covering your own or customers goods in your own vehicles

Marine transit\cargo can be used to cover parcels on an annual basis. And even the stock in your premises or warehouse

I'll be surprised if you find such a thing as I've never found one.
I asked on here and a few people made noises, but nothing ever came of it.
I think most companies just risk it, personally I put it to the customer and leave it to them.
What you find is that parcel companies (ok, not Herpes) lose so few parcels that when they do the loss balances out with the insurance money not paid.

With the greatest respect I Don’t think this is correct. I ran a business for 30 year s and each year we had goods in transit insurance as a part of the policy. I think it covered us to transport up to 100k worth of goods in our own transport or nominated sub contractor UK and Europe. Don’t remember the cost which means it couldn’t have been a large premium. Ask your Business Insurance Broker.

We have goods in transit cover as part of our standard insurance policy (T.L.Dallas, specialist industry scheme).

Saves a fortune on individual cover paying a courier and cheaper than a stand alone policy (for us at least).
