Starting Again 2 The final chapter before I learn to bake.

My last starting again was me sat (where I am now in our small bedroom) listening to Jet by Wings in my undies with a Vivalto Lungho to hand. Fast forward 5 years I`m here again about to start a new adventure.
I had planned to not be in the agency world by 2021 from about 2018, when two sales people start a business one has to be the none selling partner so as Dan was the Shopify genius I did the PAYE, housekeeping and HR etc which I was average at to say the least. Whilst we largely had fun we kissed a lot of frogs on the way up but looking back now we did have some great times.
I am not taking any credit for the success of Velstar as it was Dan's idea to be a Shopify only agency and without that differentiator at that crucial time we would be "just another agency" however we did stick to our "ecommerce only" guns only diversifying twice to create a housing group residents portal and the Clearpay Shopify app because we needed cash in the business. My contribution was financial sanity in that we bootstrapped, kept overheads to a minimum (no windowed office anyone) and grew learning which clients suited us and the ones that didn't.
If anyone's interested I will add more detail in and start the tale of my Tiktok / FB / Club / Discourse / Exit project for the next 23 months.

Edited to say that i have tried in the past to run a shop on eBay but it wasnt that successful and petered out in the end. Have always wanted to run a little on line business that could equal the pay i get from my own job (which isnt a lot).

Wholesalers are giving us product and even better customers, with numerous product launches coming jn Q1/Q2.
Ok it isn't just the site, its sector knowledge, experience and marketing behind it, but the site is my front end, without it there would be no sales.

Glad your benefitting from the seeds of my past ventures - the soon to be launched venture has several PH “helpers” as well
Well today was to be soft launch of the website but a cold review of the aesthetics has stopped it. The content while embryonic at start is ok but the ux and feel of the site isn’t good enough.
Using a WP theme i thought would carry it but it doesn’t and I’m going to need a designers input adding £ but necessary £.
On the plus side TikTok loves me again with 2 weekend posts attracting 100k views and many shares. One was a S455 warning on dividends (yes really) the other about the new Alibaba image search meaning anyone using stock images is now open to anyone sourcing the exact same item if generic from China. I found it also works on “near enough” putting in a bespoke bike light bought up a pretty close copy !!
