Hi,

Not really looking for indepth details but can anyone out line the sort of 'top level' requirements for a company to go to an IPO?

I.e. do you need a specific turnover etc? Or value in the company?

I'm just curious as I'm in the process of setting up a new business at the momment and I'm wondering if there are things I shoul dbe thinking of now that may affect this later on down the line.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

JC

JC,

Factors include -
Turnover - has to be in the millions
Market conditions - what is flavour of the month!

IPO however brings a bunch of headaches, both personally and as a company....

There are other ways of realising some of the value including - trade sale, VC investment.

Make sure you do your accounts very thoroughly as this will give you a much more marketable company if you can easily show off your stats and figures.

More headaches now... less later
