Looking for recommendations on who use.

Also, the company I wish to credit check is newly incorporated (January 2021) - will there be much information to be gleaned about them by running a credit check?

There'll only be basic info such as date of incorporation, names of Directors and owners etc.

Despite what some providers like to claim, there really is no "magic" to credit checking companies in my experience. Some online services for a fee will search for, say, CCJs, but those only usually kick in rather late in the day. There's hardly any generally-available data out there - when was the last time you reported credit outcomes on your customers to an agency...?

For a company incorporated in January 2021, so with no trading history to speak of, what sort of credit history could they have built up in a month?

Some online services will give you a credit limit and offer insurance to that level; again, that won't apply to a startup.

You're going to have to do old-fashioned due diligence. You could ask for Directors' PGs - if they have any assets smile

There's no point credit checking a company formed a month ago. Adjust your terms to protect yourself.
