I have a design client that has asked me if I know who to use to get a new landline number and then redirect that number to his mobile.

Any tips or advice would be very welcome. Instantly I’m thinking who would be the cheapest.

Thanks

I use BT for this, works fine if a little pricy.

Looking to change to a virtual landline service instead.

A virtual number is what I would be after. In fact 3. Any idea how to do it?

I use BT cloud phone as well. £15 a month with free UK calls seems ok.

I have used this company for a long time, no complaints at all and very reasonably priced:

I use Twilio for this. I think the number cost me about £10 to set up and then it costs me maybe £20 a year for the redirection (but I don't get that many calls through the landline), all forwarded to my mobile (actually forwarded to Moneypenny right now).

I believe you can also do this with Google Voice: https://cloud.google.com/voice

Cheapest way is to get a Skype account and use the number they give you - Skype will ring on your mobile.

I use Soho66 for a business virtual landline number that diverts to mobile.

Cheap as chips, and very reliable.

I use Dial9. Same people behind Krystal hosting.

No complaints at all.

I've used Tamar for the last 3 years for my company virtual landline. you can choose any (or several) local area phone number and have it diverted to a mobile.
