Hoping I can get some advice from the PH informed please

I help run a financial services company. We sell a service to other businesses around the world , mainly to small banks or similar institutions in mainland Europe , the middle and far east. Its a fairly niche product that is often a regulatory requirement.

Business has gone quiet since Covid (first time in 20 years!) and we could do with some new clients (most of our existing have come from recommendations)

I'm looking into instructing a sales/prospecting agency to contact/attract potential clients , to get our foot in the door.

I'm a bit out my depth having never done it before, any recommendations?

Our website is good, we have had a marketing consult review it and followed through their advice, I just feel I need someone/a team to get into potential clients for a couple of months to give us a boast during quiet periods

Thanks in advance

Lead generation/prospecting is exactly what we do for companies.

One of your issues will be that it seems like you are looking for a quick fix for just a couple of months. There are many agencies out there that will get you 10/20/50 leads that you will spend a lot of time/effort chasing and get nowhere.

Lead generation also covers a whole raft of things including inbound. outbound, ABM, LinkedIn, automation, tech, etc., etc. and each company, understandably, want to sell their own version of lead generation.

For me, effective lead generation is about the long game. Understanding your target markets, understanding how, why and when to engage them and then ensure you build the relationship so that when they are looking for your services you are involved in the project.

Yes, you will probably get some immediate leads that are looking now, but the real benefit of effective lead generation is creating the visible pipeline that gives you confidence that the leads you create will convert into paying clients.

Our website is www.shortlistmarketing.co.uk so you know our version of lead gen but I am always happy to have a 30 min chat, not sales, to give you a few pointers/ideas if that is of interest.

Having used several providers over the years, I cannot support this statement enough.

You also get what you pay for. I would avoid or be very cautious of those offering commission only services.
