Sagepay fell over
Discussion
Maybe should be a subject of another thread but we use Sage Payroll 50 or some iteration thereof in a citrix environment.
We have problems with Sage payroll every single month whether it be a software update that stuffs everything up - yesterday was a case in point, update installed a few days ago then all falls over, unable to complete payroll upload in respect of RTI and payslips upload.
Sage helpline approximately 1 hour wait virtually every time we call
I get that many updates are mandated due to HMRC changes but we feel like we are being held hostage by Sage. what ere the reasonable alternatives for 40-50+ on payroll.
Our external bookkeeper who processes payroll says she doesn't have issues with other Sage payroll software for smaller companies only the larger versions. IT people blame Sage and Sage blame Citrix - it's a bit like dealing with BT!
I would be grateful for advice/pointers! ......pretty please!

We've had enough of Sage for similar reasons and have moved to Mitrefinch and their One Advanced product (we're actually moving our HR to them to, but payroll is technically stand-alone)We have problems with Sage payroll every single month whether it be a software update that stuffs everything up - yesterday was a case in point, update installed a few days ago then all falls over, unable to complete payroll upload in respect of RTI and payslips upload.

It's cloud based, not huge cost and they're very helpful
If you're running it in Citrix check it's all installed correctly.
A simple install won't be enough and is almost guaranteed to casue you problems.
