Commercial Contract Lawyer Recommendations?

I've just resolved a very complex legal issue, a firm of Solicitors reckoned £12 to £15k +VAT.
Went on BAR direct access portal, found a Barrister and spent £3.5k + VAT.
So long as you can give them al info in a cogent/intelligent fashion they're very good. They won't get involving in sorting out muddled papers or if they do, it will cost. I am it seems organised because what I sent was good enough.
I now understand what a "brief" is and that for anyone 1/2 switched on and paying a Solicitor is a luxury. They are horribly efficient and seem based on my experience get to the nub of the issue very quickly.
