Can anyone offer any advice on collecting a B2B debt in NI? The debt is just under £3k+VAT for goods supplied.

If it was mainland UK i'd use Moneyclaim Online but as I understand it, this isn't applicable to NI.

Any pointers would be appreciated beer

No experience whatsoever but assume you'd need to do it the old paper way (not MCOL). Make sure you follow the correct pre-action protocols as this will harm your case if you don't.

If you do win and they don't pay, escalate it to the High Court immediately.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the reply.

I’ve found a local pre-court debt collection company who will handle it for 15% on a no collection, no fee basis, which sounds reasonable. Funnily enough, the customer is already known to them…
