WANTED : Avuncular, petrol head, down to earth accountant ..

Until 2015 I had a truly wonderful individual who was my accountant for 20 years, but during that period he morphed into a really good friend and business mentor.
At 57 he had health issues (a massive stroke from which he recovered fully, but it was life changing for him, and three years later he elected to retire from his practice five years early)
Having retired he said he wanted to remain in touch with, and remain of use to his chosen clients.
David was the sort of larger than life, TVR Griffith driving individual I could ring up and say "David, I think I've found a small business or investment opportunity that I'd like to discuss with you", and we'd agree a time/date for a lunch meeting at a pub local to him, and I'd collect him and we'd chew the fat over a long 3-4 hour lunch.
Regrettably his health started to deteriorate in 2013 and he died in 2015. I felt I'd lost my mentor and if I'm honest my surrogate father (my father was a brilliant Chartered Accountant who had his own very successful practice, but he passed away in 2001) He too was a very avuncular to his clients.
After David passed away, I did find another accountant who was easy going and helpful, but his advice proved to be poor.
If anyone knows of (or indeed is) an avuncular, worldly, savvy, down to earth, practicing or retired, petrol head accountant in the Midlands area, do please drop me a PM.
