Jonathan Jay - Business Buying
Discussion
I've followed Jonathan for a couple of years. As with most 'Gurus' the content can be a bit mixed but I've enjoyed his output and think there is a lot to be learned etc.
I wasn't personally convinced by his strategy of rolling up so many individual businesses in the same category so quickly without much liquid cash as I thought that it meant the business would be too weak to sustain changes in the macro environment. Anyhow, I see he's now sold out of his Nursery business but not publicly said anything (that I could find). I'm curious to see if it was a positive or negative exit. It's clear that the sale was via a Prepack/Admin but there was a hefty premium paid. Did the people who sold their businesses to him lose out on their deferred payments?
Anybody here followed his podcast etc?
